Principles of Practice: Definitions and modalities of anaesthesia

Understand the different modalities and mechanisms of anaesthesia including general anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia, perioperative pain relief and procedural sedation and practice independently for American Society of Anaesthesiologist Physical Status (ASA) 1 to 2 patients for minor and intermediate surgery and ≥ ASA 3 under supervision for major surgery or for life saving procedures.
